I picked up our favorite peachy pink roses because I knew she would want me to get myself flowers for her birthday (Of course, she has some flowers and sussies coming her way, I just stumbled on these at the grocery store). That's the kind of wonderful mom she is, one who genuinely delights in her children indulging in her favorite flower. <div><br></div><div>If I were in Dallas to celebrate with her I would probably make her walk down to <a href="http://www.ebby.com/property/32496803/3416-Drexel-Drive-Highland-Park-TX-75205">this house, which is for sale nearby</a>. <br><br>Checking out local real estate is one of our favorite things to do together.  This house pretty much looks like it's made for me (or The Suze). I love Kansas City, but it would be amazing to live down the street from my family (free babysitting and steak!). <br><br>So Mama, for your birthday we'll take a virtual tour through this house together and I won't tell anybody that you insisted on driving. <br><br><div class="separator" style="clear: both; A KC Real Estate Obsession

So the other day while the baby slept and Edward was taking a six-hour bath, I decided to pass the time by browsing some real estate listings (For the record, I was ordered not to talk to him while he played with the bath toys).  I came across <a href="http://www.kansascityhomes.com/Kansas-City/800-W-52nd-St-Kansas-City-MO_64112/1873757.aspx">this historic Kansas City home</a> and I haven't been able to stop thinking about it since!  It's just soo from another time (in a good way), and I imagine the person who lived here was or is probably pretty fabulous.  (I'm sure they are also someone I <i>should know</i>, but I'm like the worst Kansas Citian ever - I blame law school and children).  <br /><br />These are real estate photos, which I know don't do it justice.  I'd love to have seen this through the eye of a professional photographer or from the perspective of me sitting in their kitchen with a glass of champagne discussing its history after an in-depth house tour.   <br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; Houses in Which I Could Live, Part 5

Morning y'all! So my bestie just returned from a trip to Charleston where she will be moving in a couple months and I'm beyond excited for her.  Charleston is one of my favorite cities and I always tell Kip if he got an opportunity to move there, he wouldn't even have to run it by me.  Of course, that will probably never happen since we have things pretty good right here in Kansas City.  So instead, I'm going to enjoy knowing my best friend is there and I can visit her any time I want. <br /><br />It doesn't stop me from checking out a little historic Charleston real estate (outside my budget, of course).  I would LOVE to have a home in historic Charleston and this Church St. home looks just about perfect for me.  I'll take it fully furnished please :) <br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both;
