Little Robertson's Nursery is finished-ish!

Morning Y'all! Well, the nursery is basically finished.  I mean there's always more that could be done, especially when one is posting pictures on a blog for <strike>millions</strike> 12 people to see.  I pretty much worked with everything I already had from <a href="http://www.belclairehouse.blogspot.com/2011/01/then-comes-baby-in-baby-carriage.html">Edward's nursery</a> (including the ill-fitting ottoman slipcover - don't judge, it does it's job).  Although this nursery is very different from Edward's bright and colorful nursery.  This one's a bit more grown-up and soft.  It helps that we inherited some pretty fabulous wallpaper from the previous owners.  I can take no credit for that, except that I kept it.<br /><br />So with all of those caveats (I'm resisting the urge to point out everything wrong with the room), I give you Little Robertson's nursery.  <br /><br />Come on in! <br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; How pretty is that sun room from the October 1981 issue of <a href="http://www.housebeautiful.com/photos/1980s-interior-design-trends#slide-1">House Beautiful</a>. Anytime in the next 3 weeks would be great.  I'm beyond ready!

Houses In Which I Could Live, Part 6 {Country House}

Morning Y'all!  I haven't done a <a href="http://belclairehouse.blogspot.com/search/label/Houses%20In%20Which%20I%20Could%20Live">Houses in Which I Could Live</a> post in a while.   So I thought I'd do a Country Edition today.  <br /><br />I'm not so much a country girl per se, but I could easily have a house in the country and enjoy it as a getaway (I'm low-maintenance like that). When I saw <a href="http://www.sothebysrealty.com/eng/sales/detail/180-l-2164-4438193/bulfinch-farm-orford-nh-03777">this listing for Bulfinch Farm in Orford, New Hampshire</a> my first thought was "this would be a great place for Edward to run."  That is usually my goal for most days, find a large space for Edward to run, swim, climb, gallop, etc.  <br /><br />The grounds are beautiful and I love the simplicity of the white house on a sprawling green lawn.  Something about the understated kitchen draws me in, too.  And now I'm suddenly convincing myself I need a house in the country.  #sorrykip<br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both;
