I hate even typing that.  It's no fun to see, but I'm not surprised.  I didn't exercise as much as I should have and I didn't stay under my calories as well as I should have.  So let's hope I'm better over the next two weeks and have something good to report come Week 3! </span><br /><br /><br /><b><span style="font-size: large;">Takeaways From This Week</span></b>: <br /><br /><u>The Bad</u>: </div><div>It's been a hard week to stay on track.  It was Edward's marathon birthday weekend, I was soo overtired and frankly didn't plan well and ended up eating too much pizza and too many <i>half cupcakes*</i>.  It happens, but I need to be more thoughtful about what I'm eating when I'm that tired because I ended up feeling awful at the end of the day.  Not what I'm going for.  I'm going for energy and cat calls y'all!<br /><br /><i>*Half Cupcakes: where you eat half of a cupcake thinking it's not as bad as a whole but then you come back an hour later and eat the second half, once again justifying it because "it's only half."   But really you just ate a whole cupcake.  I know.  Math.  So rude.   </i><br /><div></div>I'm learning that when Christopher is up partying all night (and by default, I am up all night), I have a very hard time eating well.  Babies definitely bring on a different kind of exhaustion and I sometimes find myself hitting a wall at the end of the day and reaching for a bagel and a Coke.  This is something I'm really, really going to pay attention to next week.   <br /><br /><u>The Good</u>:</div><div>It wasn't all bad! I found it at Costco. It's basically oatmeal with chia in it, which is apparently very nutritious. I made a big change this week when I added breakfast to my daily routine. I know. It's dumb that I never ate breakfast, but I'm so sick in the morning from having to wake up (dramatic much?) that all I want is my coffee. Food sounds disgusting until about 11. Love it on a mini bagel with cream cheese for a super satisfying sweet treat. Also, great to serve to company over cream cheese with crackers. Low calorie in and of itself, but I need to find a lower calorie accompanyment because sometimes it's hard to stop eating! </div><div><br /></div><div><span style="font-size: large;"><b>Goals for Next Week: </b></span></div><div><br /></div><div>I'm in Dallas all week so I'll be out of my normal routine. I hope to get outside and walk at least 3 days as well as keep my calories in check among the sea of queso that I will want to take a bath in.   I will definitely pay more attention to my need for a nap and try to grab some shut-eye instead of a Coke or a bagel ... oy vey ...<br /><br /></div>

So here it goes: <br><br><br><br>Best Aspects of Modified Cars<br><br><br><br>Fine Tuning<br><br>We love cars that have been fine tuned, with turbo engines, enhancing their engine size, capacity and ultimately speed. This is what modifying your car is all about and we doff our cap in appreciation for those that start off with their engine. Evo's that can beat the Ferrari's or Impreza's making mincemeat of Lamborghini's; fundamentally this is the whole point of modifying cars. <br><br><br><br>Vehicle Wrapping <br><br>This can make any modified car look the bee's knees. There's nothing better than seeing an awesome car with eye catching and sporty looking wrapping over it. Recently it's been used in various forms, such as company promotion, protecting paint work and to give an all round flashy look. You'll also see wrapping in motor sport as manufacturers will use it to advertise sponsors on their vehicles. It's a great way of trying out news colour schemes and designs without affecting the original paintwork of the car. So when it comes to selling your vehicle on, you can either keep it on, or have it removed to have you car restored to its original self. <br><br><br><br>Swapping Engines<br><br>As mentioned, modifying cars isn't just about the aesthetics. It's about getting your car fine tuned, so it performs to its best. That said, there are still really cool aesthetical modifications you can make, but it's important to concentrate on the engine first and foremost. The idea with swapping engines is fairly old, and even though it's considered sacrilege, you can enhance the power of your pride and joy tenfold. <br><br><br><br>Worst Aspects of Modified Cars<br><br><br><br>Cambers<br><br>Originating from Japan, the name comes from the way the wheels of the car incline sideways. This makes the car look like it's been squashed, with the wheels of the car pointing outwards. Not only does this not look right, but it doesn't exactly help the performance of your vehicle. In the worst case scenario you'll see cambers that make the car look like they've folded up. Not a good look.<br><br><br><br>Big Wheels<br><br>There is a fascination when it comes to modifying cars, and that's to include big wheels. Whilst this may look good on large SUVs and even some Sedans, it looks terrible on smaller cars, especially if the arches are made bigger too. It makes the car look like it's on roller-skates, and you'll get no performance benefit out of it whatsoever; no extra speed, no more grip or better stopping. So if you're thinking of suping up your coupe, stop to think before you add 22s to it. <br><br><br><br>Interior Disasters<br><br>Okay, we've all see Pimp My Ride, and some of the things they can produce is impressive. However, it's a television show people, and the people working on the cars are professionals. There's nothing worse than seeing an old clapped out banger, which has been given the ‘star' treatment, which contains luminous, bright and generally over the top colours, designs and accessories. Somewhere along the line, modifying cars went awry. <br><br><br><br>So there you have it, these were just some of the best and worst aspects of modifying cars. There are however many more. Brown & White (omg)

Don't worry I won't get all <a href="http://www.goop.com/">GOOP</a>-y and smug.* I am no weight loss expert. If I were, I'd be skinny duh. But hopefully by writing about it, I can keep myself focused, learn a little bit and shed some light (in a light-hearted way) on something that occupies my mind about as much as much as the next blue and white vase I'm coveting. </span></div><div><span style="font-family: Times,"Times New Roman",serif;"><br /></span></div><div><b><span style="font-family: Times,"Times New Roman",serif;">So here are my current long term goals: </span></b></div><div><span style="font-family: Times,"Times New Roman",serif;">1. Lose the baby weight (20 lbs of the 40 lbs to go) </span></div><div><span style="font-family: Times,"Times New Roman",serif;">2.  Run some kinda K. 5K? 10K? We'll see. </span></div><div><span style="font-family: Times,"Times New Roman",serif;">3.  Lose the "I got married and comfortable weight" (10 more lbs) </span></div><div><span style="font-family: Times,"Times New Roman",serif;">4.  And then 10 more lbs for the "omg you look amazing, WHAT are you doing?!" comment. </span></div><div><br /></div><div><div><b>Here's what I don't do</b>:  I don't do juice fasts or smoothie diets or cleanses, I don't do marathons or triathlons (I'm not great at bike riding and I have horrible feet and knees) and I don't do fad diets. </div><div><br /></div><div><b>Here's what I DO do</b>: I try to track my calories, exercise and eat. And I try to eat healthy, but sometimes I don't. </div><div><br /><br /><u>TRACKING MY CALORIES</u><br />I use <a href="http://www.myfitnesspal.com/">Myfitnesspal</a> to track my calories. It's waay too bright and flat and very 1992. And I'm way too sleep-deprived to handle this kind of dramatic change.
