Trad Home Pretties

I'm a little behind on my reading, and while I'm catching up, I had to share these images from the <a href="http://www.traditionalhome.com/trad-home-mag">Spring 2015 Trad Home</a> (the cool, online little sister to Traditional Home).  They featured 10 rising stars of design, which had me taking notes!<br /><div><br /></div><div>My real-life notes:<br /><br /><br /><ul><li><i><span style="font-size: large;">Internet Stalk everything by <a href="http://www.chenaultjames.com/">Chenault James Interiors</a>.  </span></i></li></ul><br /><br />Chenault James is an awesome name.  So awesome, it must give her magical powers to read my mind and create the bedroom of my dreams.  Kind of awkward that it was for someone else, but I'll let it slide since we all get to see it.<br /><div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMFIcCQZBIqJxBygb3uZObQnZ7rAjQgqPXtQxF9Tc06eb0QsCan8DRyo86HFc9LAUKvrF_Me1CABtTLFIqZqzs7l4Z2x56M8NwKV4g7uLKFGdVj6MJ1Ky4qeMU21piT7Q6OX9Zdd0C-RI/s1600/Screen+Shot+2015-07-22+at+3.25.52+PM.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="329" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMFIcCQZBIqJxBygb3uZObQnZ7rAjQgqPXtQxF9Tc06eb0QsCan8DRyo86HFc9LAUKvrF_Me1CABtTLFIqZqzs7l4Z2x56M8NwKV4g7uLKFGdVj6MJ1Ky4qeMU21piT7Q6OX9Zdd0C-RI/s640/Screen+Shot+2015-07-22+at+3.25.52+PM.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br />I would make this bathroom my room that no one is allowed to go in.  It looks so quiet and peaceful.  What a lovely place to start and end the day. <br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhv5-v9SKmEGWqZDwIwAr4Oge46tyn6_Dcs2D_kyaOA7Py2ZYJudI-d3tUnWfI8yBlnheRQSCJlfAB8yLEd6bMlHi_wi5Tc_t5yWs24EEqOyBA1LX2heHyr8anwwVrIxQJASIBDsjfgYAY/s1600/Screen+Shot+2015-07-22+at+3.34.44+PM.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhv5-v9SKmEGWqZDwIwAr4Oge46tyn6_Dcs2D_kyaOA7Py2ZYJudI-d3tUnWfI8yBlnheRQSCJlfAB8yLEd6bMlHi_wi5Tc_t5yWs24EEqOyBA1LX2heHyr8anwwVrIxQJASIBDsjfgYAY/s640/Screen+Shot+2015-07-22+at+3.34.44+PM.jpg" width="578" /></a></div><br />Adorable little boys' bedroom!! Colorful Beach House in TRADhome

* Y'all this post took forever as I waited about one minute and 45 seconds for each page of the 226 page <a href="http://www.traditionalhome.com/tradhomespring2013/">Spring issue of TRADHome</a> to load (might be my internet).  You're welcome.  In the meantime, Edward ate ice cream for breakfast and watched 4 episodes of the 1970s Godzilla cartoons.  It was worth it though! There were lots and lots of pretties, so this will be a two-parter.<br /><br />First up, my favorite spread in the issue featuring this fun, bright Coronado Island beach house by <a href="http://www.cultivate.com/profile/taylor-borsari-inc">Taylor Borsari</a>.  As much as I love a simple all-white clean palette, I have to say this has me craving color and pattern.  <br /><br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; Trad Home Spring 2012

Morning y'all! I'm back from my self-imposed time-out.  Last week was rough with my little munchkin having pneumonia and then my husband and I got a touch of the flu.  I'm happy to report we are all healthy finally.  I had my college girlfriends in town for the weekend and we took off for Columbia, MO on Saturday to relive our college days.  I might be an old bubbie, but I could not get over the outfits these young ladies were wearing.  Lots of mini-skirts and Kelly Bundy dresses.  It was really just at <a href="http://www.10below.co/">this one bar</a>, but there were lots of cute girls dressed as prostitutes.  We always laugh because when we were in college everybody wore "black pants and a cute top."  I'm sure we pushed the envelope of good taste as well so I won't judge. Anyway, it was a superfun weekend and just the break I needed to feel like myself again. <br /><br />Sunday, I needed some couch time if you know what I mean, so I had a chance to look at the Spring 2012 issue of <a href="http://www.traditionalhome.com/tradhomespring2012/">Trad Home</a> (Traditional Home's toe-dip into the world of digital magazines).  Here's what I liked:<br /><br />Loved these rooms by designer <a href="http://www.allisonhennessy.com/aboutus.aspx">Allison Hennessy</a>, especially this entryway.<br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1_onZ6JgsAIxvkqIyQjIolmhuYmZT5Qy2SmMbX5g9A9FmkMPA2IongdtfjgGfG2E8tk91Txp0sh29agSycp0n8OYLEIJHEOFu0y8tfAmVEvRwLmFjEh4JZwu8_a5Vh9x4YxipwGXdO1g/s1600/Picture+11.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1_onZ6JgsAIxvkqIyQjIolmhuYmZT5Qy2SmMbX5g9A9FmkMPA2IongdtfjgGfG2E8tk91Txp0sh29agSycp0n8OYLEIJHEOFu0y8tfAmVEvRwLmFjEh4JZwu8_a5Vh9x4YxipwGXdO1g/s1600/Picture+11.png" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEicUr_i167MCnONaMJHjfxtGW5HBakiNVlVMsVdvSwc74kVlMbjJsumCt0X4APGoC3Mjx0eyp00N6PUfeu7UA85FAeLRR3o1xyJMzeQ-T7FzdTzfCjkpzvQS5TF9-jVmfTv32ZaalZTe0E/s1600/Picture+12.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEicUr_i167MCnONaMJHjfxtGW5HBakiNVlVMsVdvSwc74kVlMbjJsumCt0X4APGoC3Mjx0eyp00N6PUfeu7UA85FAeLRR3o1xyJMzeQ-T7FzdTzfCjkpzvQS5TF9-jVmfTv32ZaalZTe0E/s1600/Picture+12.png" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4t9G88reBRcjcAo3pqg-J6llku13ggiEALI8nJ32A4UMwn9ufY6rAzzusY6SZiyk025eOMDlidec2cRQMO-LAJgPz1HG0g9quCxmaf1KkDO_r9DK4R_DmRrUOCtXBCRDvDFh2KO_ADr0/s1600/Picture+14.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="405" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4t9G88reBRcjcAo3pqg-J6llku13ggiEALI8nJ32A4UMwn9ufY6rAzzusY6SZiyk025eOMDlidec2cRQMO-LAJgPz1HG0g9quCxmaf1KkDO_r9DK4R_DmRrUOCtXBCRDvDFh2KO_ADr0/s640/Picture+14.png" width="640" /></a></div><br />Kip would love this outdoor terrace.  He loves outside, golf and brick.<br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgwJle1OFq6m_o55ncNzGEOon5q2uYF0UK1OlNLgLkQgS9sZL9uechzhzriaH18ovxYEBinxjy-ZO8eSwmtMM5IvCxxeMXBBevKDVSzmDNsF1bUvO49qTJimEYCh2r1ino55Vob6ksV9cM/s1600/Picture+15.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgwJle1OFq6m_o55ncNzGEOon5q2uYF0UK1OlNLgLkQgS9sZL9uechzhzriaH18ovxYEBinxjy-ZO8eSwmtMM5IvCxxeMXBBevKDVSzmDNsF1bUvO49qTJimEYCh2r1ino55Vob6ksV9cM/s1600/Picture+15.png" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-anohbqJZYryYBaIICXQ5FjM3i4H1rO7y4LMumotVH0eUFdUBbEfVJ_B6i-rRTMLzEPt5VYFkSs2wZDCq7qlH1az65Z0ktcCU2T64ByW0NTGj1bLXgXVtrzHT0Si4q6a0p9WUCOJiU8k/s1600/Picture+16.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-anohbqJZYryYBaIICXQ5FjM3i4H1rO7y4LMumotVH0eUFdUBbEfVJ_B6i-rRTMLzEPt5VYFkSs2wZDCq7qlH1az65Z0ktcCU2T64ByW0NTGj1bLXgXVtrzHT0Si4q6a0p9WUCOJiU8k/s1600/Picture+16.png" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">While a little more contemporary than my taste, I do love the mix of textures and the soothing colors in this bedroom by <a href="http://www.houseofhoney.la/">Tamara Kaye-Honey</a>:</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgk1Ergm8t1JXlOnLHeE8Yz7XPpYIFCDH1SVTRbvagH2ekjNFNz13W1lLvBvkHO754REEW-jwzHW8cJHch2OQ1iScKSZjBuHVZEukvLpzt9OoAo4SX7OwfpQKqe3mY6rBT3KnsvMBdRmKE/s1600/Picture+18.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="594" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgk1Ergm8t1JXlOnLHeE8Yz7XPpYIFCDH1SVTRbvagH2ekjNFNz13W1lLvBvkHO754REEW-jwzHW8cJHch2OQ1iScKSZjBuHVZEukvLpzt9OoAo4SX7OwfpQKqe3mY6rBT3KnsvMBdRmKE/s640/Picture+18.png" width="640" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Sunny, happy rooms by<a href="http://www.grantkgibson.com/"> Grant K. Blue & White in Traditional Home

Lots of it! I keep meaning to share it with y'all and then I fall asleep.  Toddlers don't understand things like sinus headaches and "quiet time" so any spare moment I've had over the last few days, I've slept instead of blogged.  I went to bed at 7 last night.  It was lovely, but I'm ready to have energy again.  Anyway, if you don't have the February + March issue of Traditional Home and you love traditional blue and white interiors, you should check it out.<br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.traditionalhome.com/tableofcontents/index.html"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiOY5wZRbgiN5Q1rtp1D8aCiQG1aJz01dANUth4K4Xb-D0qnytfDSY1yclp4jpGv-ezf6O9FXo4moMZCx6amJmDIdsWM1mz7A717Kn3ZOX3lehTjLZZHIqXgd22iayH2QbFrDbwnLiMRA0/s1600/Traditional+Home+Cover+March+February+.jpg" /></a></div><br /><br /> I <i>love</i> the blue and white and gold chair featured on the cover.  I actually find it very modern and fresh!
