How does your garden grow?

Gardens have always beckoned me since I was a girl.  I love the colours, lushness, meandering paths and hidden surprises.  I like looking beyond  or through a  garden to the haphazard backdrops and surprising framings worthy of a painting.  Everyone who views a garden sees it in a slightly different way, just as everyone who reads a poem takes  a slightly different message from it. <br /><br />Whenever I find a garden  that appeals to me, I always ask permission to photograph it.  Sometimes I keep the photos in my art file, and other times I  share them.  This  well textured garden in King's Cove, Bonavista Bay, NL, lovingly tended by Veronica and Kevin Mahoney was meant to be shared.<br /><br /> Come along and visit Veronica and Kevin's garden through my eyes. <br /><br /> Gardens need surprises at every turn. Variety in heights is important for an interesting space.   While the garden has a well tended look it also  meanders  from the cultivated edges to wilder land behind it. text-align: left;"> You can look right out the bay as far as the eye can see.  The houses beside the property actually become part of the composition of the garden.  How great is it to have a yellow  building with  red trim next to your property!  It is such a strong focal point and  it adds additional colour when the blooms disappear. . </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; Moodboard Monday: Little Bean Nap Mat Debut!

Wedding Wednesday (I made that up)

Y'all, something pretty exciting happened while we were on vacation.<br /><div><br /></div><div>My <a href="http://instagram.com/p/qCyu49IxQa/?modal=true">little sissy got engaged</a>!!! </div><div><br /></div><div>Soo since weddings will be on the brain for the foreseeable future, I decided to do something really unique in the blog world and blog about wedding things on ... wait for it ... Wednesdays!! I know, no one has ever done that before.<br /></div><div>So, my friends, please indulge me as I share pretty wedding stuff.  I get so many ideas for decor and entertaining from many of the weddings and vendors I browse.  There is just so much opportunity for pretty things to happen when it comes to a happy moment like a wedding.  (there's also some opportunity for crazy <a href="http://www.pinterest.com/pin/62909726015214257/">ifyouknowwhatimean</a>)</div><div> </div><div>I'm so happy to be experiencing a new surge in weddings.  Now that I have kids, I really look forward to the chance to dress up and dance in celebration of two people starting a life together.  It reminds me how blessed I am.  My wedding day was the start of a million best days of my life, and if you ask anyone who attended, it was a pretty awesome day.  It was just magical.  But then again, finding your soul mate is a <i>huge</i> deal and worth the celebration. </div><div> </div><div>I know I've shared them before, but I thought I'd share them one last time in honor of our five year anniversary.  </div><div> </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;
