Lulu's Listing: Dallas Dream House

Morning y'all!  On snowy days like this, I long to be back in Dallas.  My love for snow is completely dependent on its proximity to Christmas.  Now that I'm thinking Easter outfits, I'm not interested in a cold wintery mess.  I'm ready for Spring! Fortunately, my little sissy, Laura, found my dream house so I can at least move there in my mind.  It's been awhile since I've done a <a href="http://www.belclairehouse.blogspot.com/search/label/Lulu%27s%20Listings">Lulu's Listing</a> so some of y'all may not be familiar with it.  Basically, my sister has been a genius at finding pretty houses all over the country since she was about 5.  It's like some people are good at piano while others are more athletically inclined.  My sister is good at pretty houses.   <br /><br />This house is very traditional, but also very open and light.  It was inspired by the architecture of <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A._Hays_Town">A. Seriously, y'all I have never seen this much snow. It's like I woke up in Narnia. The snow froze to the branches of the trees so it's just white everywhere you look. It's so beautiful! But it also means we might lose some trees. We have power, but apparently a lot of people in the city don't so prayers for them. <br /><br />Here are pics from my phone. Kip is outside trying to knock snow off of some of our trees that are having a hard time standing up. I think he just wants to be out in the elements (what is it with men and weather?) Kissing objects and other design issues

This is the first post of a series I have planned to focus on arranging objects in a pleasing way in your home.<br /><br /><div style="text-align: left;"> The same principles of design that are the backbone of a good painting can be applied to designing a room or a vignette.  People often know when something doesn't look right , but they might not be able to articulate why they have that feeling. I thought I would focus on some of the finer points that can move a space from fine to fantastic. </div><br />Do you have....<br /><br /><b>Kissing objects </b><br /> That's the best way to describe objects that touch each other or look like they are touching  thus causing an odd tension/confusion.  Is it one object? Two objects?
