Ah, how I love that first blanket of snow on the ground, untouched and glistening. I was born on a first snow day and every time I experience it, I feel an incredible peace and often wonder if it's connected. The beauty of being able to see quiet is breathtaking to me, especially now. It's a reminder that I'm lucky to be warm and have my family nearby to hold and kiss their warm faces. In the chaos of this holiday season, it's nice when nature tells you to take a moment.
